Requesting data

We need some information from you before we action your request for data. We assess requests based on the “Five Safes” Framework, as outlined in our Data Sharing Policy.

If you are from the media, contact media@swa.gov.au.

If you are a student, our published statistics provide a wide range of data that you can use. Due to resource constraints and the volume of requests that we receive, we do not respond to individual questions from students.

Timing to access requests

We assess requests for data and information on a case-by-case basis. We will keep you informed of timeframes as your request is processed.

Have you tried exploring our dashboards for the data you are seeking?

The dashboards give you options to filter the data presented based on your interests, for example by claim type, jurisdiction, sex, age group and year(s). To find out more about how to get the most out of our dashboards please view our short Using our interactive data video or the Dashboard user guide
